Retention Marketing Lead - Remote Role with a Sense of Humor

About the Role

We are seeking a Retention Marketing Lead to join our team at Shinesty, a company dedicated to making the world take itself less seriously. This remote role is perfect for someone who is not only data-driven but also has a sense of humor. As a Retention Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance customer retention and lifetime value (LTV).

What You'll Do

• Build and implement retention, subscription, and lifecycle strategy frameworks across the customer journey.
• Identify key retention and subscriber value levers, including offers, UX friction, and onboarding processes.
• Align with cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives across merchandising, product, and customer experience.
• Lead customer-facing retention channels such as Email, SMS, and Loyalty programs, optimizing existing efforts while implementing new strategies.
• Create and maintain segmentation frameworks and automations that scale and deliver incremental value.
• Manage a retention marketing calendar to ensure timely and effective communications.
• Own the subscription onboarding process and develop strategies to reduce churn.
• Collaborate with merchandising and product teams to ensure irresistible subscription benefits.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in lifecycle, CRM channel management, or retention marketing.
• Experience in growing a digitally native brand and managing recurring subscription programs.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in dashboarding and report building.
• Understanding of creative factors that impact business results.
• Ability to manage and nurture customer relationships through effective communication and support.
