Senior Robotics Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Anduril Industries. What You'll Do

• Own the mission autonomy systems and services deployed to customers, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Write code to improve products and scale mission capabilities to a broader customer base.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionalities in robotics and autonomy.
• Create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring system performance.
• Triage issues, identify root causes of failures, and coordinate next steps for resolution.
• Partner with end-users to translate their needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints.
• Travel up to 25% of the time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world scenarios.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• 6+ years of professional experience working with C++ or Rust programming languages.
• Experience in building software solutions that involve significant data processing and analysis.
• Ability to navigate complex systems and established code bases effectively.
• A passion for working on critical software that has real-world impacts.
• Must be eligible to obtain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Strong focus in Physics, Mathematics, and/or Motion Planning to inform modeling and simulation.
• Experience in developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments.
• Familiarity with feature and algorithm development, particularly behavior trees.
• Experience with distributed communication networks and message standards.
