Senior Quality Engineer - New Model Introduction (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer - New Model Introduction to join our innovative team at Honda. This remote position offers the opportunity to lead quality initiatives for new model introductions, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of excellence. What You'll Do

• Lead the New Model Quality introduction through strategic planning and management to meet quality targets from concept to mass production.
• Coordinate quality activities across multiple projects, tracking progress to achieve results in alignment with Honda's business goals.
• Compile and analyze project evaluation materials to ensure compliance with plant evaluations and gain necessary approvals.
• Collaborate with Product Design to prevent manufacturing issues and enhance the overall quality of new models.
• Support the Manufacturing Management Centre (MMC) with quality manufacturing plans for onsite trial builds, ensuring successful execution of build events.
• Develop the capability of yourself and your team through training and mentoring, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Maintain regular communication with other facilities to coordinate North American or Global Weld activities.
• Enhance the Standard NM SAP for assigned models by considering previous reflections and future innovations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Quality Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in a quality engineering role, ideally within the automotive industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and 3D data (CATIA).
• Able to read and create technical drawings and understand Honda systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality improvement.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP and other quality management systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automotive manufacturing.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
