Senior QA Engineer - Remote Position at IDnow

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team at IDnow. This Senior QA Engineer remote position offers you the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI-driven identity verification solutions. You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our services while collaborating with a talented team of software engineers, data scientists, and product managers.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Python and relevant frameworks.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and quality issues throughout their lifecycle.
• Improve and refine QA/testing processes to enhance service quality and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with developers, data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to high-quality releases.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality validation.
• Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices across teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software QA and automation.
• Strong hands-on skills in Python for test automation.
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with tools such as pytest, Postman, Locust, or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI).
• Proactive, autonomous, and confident in making technical QA decisions.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); French language skills are a plus.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy considerations in testing environments.
• Experience with testing services communicating via message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) using Protocol Buffer (Protobuf) interfaces.
• Familiarity with cloud-based test environments or containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with QA testing of Machine Learning or AI services, including statistical testing methodologies, handling and validating large datasets.
