About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our globally distributed team! This Senior QA Automation Engineer remote position is ideal for someone with strong automation fundamentals who is also comfortable being hands-on with manual testing during a period of transition where the product and testing infrastructure are stabilizing.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute manual functional testing to ensure coverage during a period of change and stabilization.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (UI and/or API), focusing on long-term scalability.
  • Partner closely with engineering and product teams to clarify requirements and identify quality risks early.
  • Help define and improve QA processes, test strategies, and release readiness criteria.
  • Identify and document defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing pipelines and tooling over time.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience working in QA roles.
  • Hands-on automation experience with Python + Playwright (strongly preferred).
  • Strong QA fundamentals: test planning, test design, defect reporting, regression strategies.
  • Proven experience in manual testing (web applications preferred).
  • Solid understanding of test automation principles and best practices.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment and adapt testing approaches as systems evolve.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build/release workflows.
  • Experience with API testing and test frameworks beyond UI automation.
