Senior Project Manager - Remote from Anywhere in Colorado

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Senior Project Manager remote to lead the development and implementation of large, complex, multi-platform technology initiatives. In this role, you will take projects from original concept to successful application by defining project scope and objectives, analyzing project requirements, identifying resources, and determining the best approach for completion.

What You'll Do

• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
• Develop new approaches and employ existing plans to create detailed work strategies, schedules, project estimates, budget management, and status reports.
• Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes.
• Determine and assess requests for additional staff and/or contractors, working with outside service providers as needed to complete technology projects.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams within OIT, customer organizations, and vendors.
• Conduct post-mortem project assessments, suggesting process or procedure improvements.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members and contractors, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for assigned work.
• Manage relationships across OIT, customers, and vendors, cultivating a thorough understanding of core business functions and alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in IT and IT project management for large, complex projects.
• Experience leveraging tools such as Tableau or BI for data-driven decisions.
• Solid understanding of change management and ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Scrum, ITIL, PMP) are preferred.
