Sea Freight Import Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Sea Freight Import Specialist to join DP World Logistics Germany, working from our Hamburg location or remotely. As a Sea Freight Import Specialist, you will be the expert in planning, organizing, and executing high-quality sea freight transports, while collaborating with an international team. What You'll Do

• Manage and oversee the processing of global sea freight transports, including documentation and deadline monitoring.
• Communicate with national and international clients and service providers throughout the entire transport chain.
• Prepare and create customs documents and paperwork.
• Request and verify offers and conditions for the assigned transports.
• Assist in the implementation of new customers, including reviewing and providing necessary documents and information.
• Prepare and conduct billing, including month-end closing.
• Collaborate closely with national and international colleagues.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training in forwarding and logistics services or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in forwarding with a focus on sea freight.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Good English and German language skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong team player, responsible, communicative, reliable, and able to maintain an overview even in turbulent times.
• Value direct contact with internal and external customers and demonstrate a self-directed, goal-oriented work ethic.
• A hands-on mentality that sets you apart.

Nice to Have

• Experience with logistics software and tools.
