Senior Platform Engineer - Cloud Migration (GCP & Azure) Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer - Cloud Migration to join our team remotely in the United Kingdom. This role focuses on driving the migration from Microsoft Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring a seamless transition while enhancing scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support the end-to-end migration from Azure to GCP, including architecture, planning, and execution.
• Design and manage Kubernetes-based platforms and containerized workloads.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Ansible for both Azure and GCP environments.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Ensure strong security, governance, and compliance across both cloud platforms.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and cost optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize applications and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with both Azure and GCP (essential).
• Proven track record delivering or contributing to cloud migration projects (Azure → GCP preferred).
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and high availability architectures.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-cloud strategies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-native application development.
