Senior Performance Test Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our innovative team in a fully remote capacity. This role focuses on leading the automation and execution of non-functional testing for a mission-critical matching engine used in the Spanish stock market ecosystem. As a Senior Performance Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our systems in a real-time, low-latency environment.

What You'll Do

• Design and automate non-functional test suites focusing on latency, capacity, failover, and resilience.
• Diagnose performance issues across network, operating system, and application layers.
• Build automated pipelines using modern CI/CD tools to enhance testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of testing solutions.
• Utilize tools such as Grafana, Ansible, GitLab, and Airflow to monitor and improve system performance.
• Engage in troubleshooting low-latency systems to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Work independently while demonstrating strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in non-functional testing, with a focus on performance testing.
• Proficiency in Bash, Linux, Python, and C/C++.
• 1-3 years of experience with Grafana, Ansible, GitLab, Airflow, and OpenShift/ArgoCD.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical mindset and the ability to work autonomously.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial markets or trading systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
