About the Role

We are seeking a Senior NoSQL Database Administrator to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is critical as you will support the Property Engagement Platform (PEP), a mission-critical, customer-facing system. As a Senior NoSQL Database Administrator remote position, you will be responsible for ensuring high availability, low latency, and optimal performance of our NoSQL databases.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and optimize Couchbase and AWS DynamoDB databases in production environments.
  • Implement and maintain NoSQL data modeling, access patterns, and consistency models.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for 24/7 platforms.
  • Document operational best practices and create runbooks for database management.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Couchbase in a production environment.
  • Strong operational support experience with AWS DynamoDB.
  • Understanding of NoSQL data modeling and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
  • Ability to work independently and manage environments end-to-end.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Amazon DocumentDB or MongoDB-compatible platforms.
  • Familiarity with Datadog for NoSQL monitoring.
  • Background in transitioning workloads from relational databases to NoSQL.
