Senior Network Engineer - Remote Role in IT Services

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role is perfect for experienced engineers looking to enhance enterprise-scale network environments while working from the comfort of their home in Mexico. As a Senior Network Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing our network infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage network engineering projects, ensuring successful implementation and performance.
• Utilize your expertise in Cisco ACI and F5 Load Balancers to enhance network performance.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Design and implement robust networking solutions, including routers, switches, and load balancers.
• Ensure network security through effective use of firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Document network designs, procedures, and configurations for future reference.
• Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Cisco ACI and F5 Load Balancers.
• 5+ years of experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
• Deep understanding of networking technologies, design principles, and practical implementation.
• Experience with SDN solutions such as Cisco ACI and VMware NSX/VNX.
• Strong knowledge of network security practices and tools.
• Excellent documentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Willingness to work nights/weekends for implementations and escalations as needed.

Nice to Have

• Scripting skills for automation and configuration management.
• Experience with network monitoring and production support.
• Strong customer-facing skills for effective communication with clients.
