Senior Network Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer remote to join a fast-paced, U.S.-based IT services environment supporting multiple client infrastructures. This role is ideal for a highly experienced MSP professional who thrives on solving complex infrastructure and security challenges while improving systems through automation and preventive maintenance. You will play a key role in strengthening infrastructure reliability, responding to security incidents, and driving long-term technical improvements across diverse client environments.

What You'll Do

• Respond to security alerts (Huntress, Blumira), including investigation, containment, remediation, and documentation of results.
• Perform preventive maintenance: monitoring reviews, patch coordination, system cleanup, and environment standardization.
• Automate repeatable tasks using PowerShell (onboarding/offboarding, reporting, recurring fixes).
• Manage ticket workflows and client communication using ConnectWise Manage.
• Perform remote monitoring and remediation through Datto RMM.
• Create and maintain clear documentation and procedures for repeatable solutions.
• Lead Disaster Recovery planning and testing across environments.
• Troubleshoot and administer Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP).
• Support networking infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, switching, and Wi-Fi (Meraki preferred; UniFi/Netgear helpful).

Requirements

• 5+ years of strong MSP experience supporting multiple client environments.
• Advanced Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong networking knowledge (firewalls, VPNs, switching, Wi-Fi).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure fundamentals (identity, email, security settings).
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and preventive work.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V; high availability experience is a plus).
• Experience responding to security alerts and incidents (Huntress, Blumira; ThreatLocker preferred).
• Proven experience handling disaster recovery and server/network failure scenarios.
• Excellent documentation habits and professional English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ConnectWise Manage and Datto RMM.
• Ability to work US Eastern Time hours.
