Senior Mobile Engineer - Remote Role at Scandinavian Capital Markets

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer to join our innovative team at Scandinavian Capital Markets. This fully remote position allows you to take complete ownership of our mobile trading platform, ensuring high-performance mobile engineering while contributing to high-level decisions such as system architecture and product roadmap.

What You'll Do

• End-to-End Ownership: Architect, develop, and own our mobile applications from the ground up, ensuring highly scalable and robust environments.
• Mobile Development: Drive feature development using React Native, while building and maintaining native iOS modules (Swift) to ensure uncompromising performance for critical trading functions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, UI/UX, and backend teams to translate complex financial data into intuitive, high-quality mobile experiences.
• Architecture & State Management: Implement clean architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM) and robust state management (e.g., Redux) to handle real-time market data smoothly.
• Tooling & Automation: Build internal reusable SDK components, define CI/CD pipelines, and write automation scripts (Python, Bash) to streamline the development workflow and reduce time-to-market.

Requirements

• 10+ years of total software development experience, with at least 5+ years of extensive, hands-on work in mobile engineering.
• Deep expertise in React Native AND native iOS development.
• Proven ability to transition between native and cross-platform environments, including building native bridges for React Native.
• Strong grasp of mobile architectural patterns (MVVM, MVVM-C) and state management libraries (Redux).
• Experience writing tooling and automation scripts (Python, Bash) to optimize development workflows.
• Ability to work autonomously, take high-level product requirements, and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Nice to Have

• Background in C#, C++, or backend integration.
• Experience building fintech applications, secure payment gateways, or working with complex, high-frequency data streams.
