Senior Manual QA Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will take full ownership of product quality, ensuring that our web and mobile platforms (iOS & Android) deliver the highest standards. As a Senior Manual QA Engineer, you will define and drive the quality strategy for new features and releases, impacting millions of users and directly influencing revenue and user trust.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end quality process for features and releases, ensuring release readiness and providing QA sign-off.
• Define test strategy based on risk and business impact, proactively identifying weak points in product flows and edge cases.
• Perform advanced manual testing, including functional, regression, cross-browser, and responsive testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Validate complex flows such as payments, offers, and analytics events, ensuring consistent behavior across devices and OS versions.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger, verifying data consistency and analytics tracking.
• Identify high-risk scenarios before release and document clear, reproducible defects with strong prioritization.
• Collaborate closely with developers to resolve root causes of defects and ensure no regressions.
• Challenge requirements and clarify ambiguities with Product, ensuring full requirement and edge-case coverage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in manual QA for web and mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of risk-based testing and deep knowledge of functional, regression, and cross-platform testing.
• Solid experience in REST API testing using Postman and Swagger.
• Basic SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL) and familiarity with mobile proxy tools (Proxyman or similar).
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) or higher.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with analytics validation tools such as Mixpanel or Segment.
• Experience in fast-paced startup environments and mentoring other QA team members.
• Background in working on B2C or high-traffic consumer products.
• Exposure to load or performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
