About the Role

Forte Group is looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our agile team. In this remote role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality by developing and executing functional and non-functional tests for new features and products. Your role will serve as a crucial liaison between business and development, ensuring that new features align with business and user needs. You will regularly participate in project communication, helping the team identify issues and prevent them by analyzing the root causes of defects.

What You'll Do

  • Develop manual test scenarios and test suites for various applications.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation and validate new functionality.
  • Test the system as both a stand-alone and integrated product.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases and checklists.
  • Collaborate with the product owner to ensure requirements are accurately captured.
  • Work closely with the development team to analyze and resolve defects.
  • Report on manual testing results and identify potential risks.
  • Support the full cycle of defect tracking and management.
  • Conduct functional API testing and support new system releases by performing regression and smoke testing.
  • Contribute to project documentation and knowledge base maintenance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify opportunities for automation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and Testing.
  • Experience in testing complex integrated systems and understanding client-server applications.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing and understanding REST concepts.
  • Ability to escalate issues related to API and web development practices.
  • Familiarity with core web technologies and concepts, including HTTP, DNS, and cookies.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and understanding of relational databases.
  • Advanced skills in Postman or similar tools for API testing.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

  • Cloud migration experience.
  • Basic JavaScript skills for script automation in Postman.
  • Experience in the Sales, CRM, or Golf industry.
