Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Remote Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our innovative team at Biohub. What You'll Do

• Build and maintain pre-training infrastructure across thousands of GPUs, ensuring optimal performance for our machine learning models.
• Design and optimize GPU-native data loading pipelines for scientific data workloads at petabyte scale.
• Develop I/O and pipeline systems for unique biological data types, including microscopy volumes and spatial genomics.
• Define the abstractions that researchers will rely on for years to come.
• Own the ML lifecycle, including artifact tracking, fine-tuning pipelines, monitoring, and production reliability.
• Build the DevOps tools that enhance productivity for engineers and researchers alike.
• Deploy Biohub's technology, empowering scientists worldwide with cutting-edge tools.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Pytorch, including custom training loops and distributed training.
• Proficiency in GPU-native data I/O and large-scale tensor formats such as Zarr, HDF5, and TensorStore.
• Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks like Spark, Dask, or Ray.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• A proven track record of building systems that are essential for other engineers and researchers.
• Experience in developing AI agent frameworks is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with large-scale ML systems and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of biological data processing and analysis.
