About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Large Language Models to join our innovative team at Apple. In this remote role, you will play a crucial part in advancing the performance of Apple Intelligence Large Language Models across various platforms, languages, and modalities. Your expertise will help shape the future of AI at Apple, impacting billions of users worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Advance the performance of Apple Intelligence Large Language Models, ensuring they meet the highest standards across all platforms.
• Advise on the data training and product roadmap for Foundation Models, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams.
• Design detailed evaluation methodologies to support critical go/no-go decisions, ensuring robust data-driven insights.
• Prototype impactful analyses and productionalize novel pipelines that enhance user experience.
• Regularly present findings and strategies to partner teams and executive sponsors, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Analytics.
• Expertise in evaluation methodologies, including Human Evaluation, A/B Testing, and Automated Testing.
• Strong intuition for metrics, including their strengths and shortcomings.
• A proven track record of positively impacting shipped products.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their evaluation.
