About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for Africa - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide expert legal guidance and support to our operations across the African continent. What You'll Do

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the company's interests.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on legal and regulatory matters.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes effectively.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the business in Africa.
- Support the business development team with legal insights to facilitate growth and partnerships.
- Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to their professional development.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal counsel, preferably in a corporate or regulatory environment.
- Strong understanding of African legal frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
- Experience with U.S. government contracts and anti-corruption laws is a plus.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
