About the Role

We're hiring a Senior JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer to join our innovative team at Fingerprint. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the fraud detection space, empowering developers to combat online fraud effectively. As a Senior JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our browser-side JavaScript agent development, crafting high-performance SDKs used by millions daily.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain our browser-side TypeScript/JavaScript agent for device identification and bot detection.
• Engineer for stealth, resilience, and performance, minimizing footprint and resisting detection.
• Optimize code for size and execution speed in complex, adversarial environments.
• Stay ahead of browser changes and fingerprinting techniques.
• Collaborate with backend, security, and data science teams to align signal capture with detection logic.
• Write comprehensive tests and contribute to CI pipelines ensuring functionality across various platforms.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in JavaScript and TypeScript, particularly in browser environments.
• Deep understanding of browser APIs, DOM behavior, and anti-debugging techniques.
• Experience building libraries or SDKs for production or developer-facing use cases.
• Strong frontend experience (~80%) with backend familiarity (~20%).
• Proficiency with build tools like Vite, Webpack, and Rollup.
• Familiarity with modern testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jasmine, or Jest.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in complex domains like media, gamedev, or security.
• Contributions to open-source projects in the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.
• Familiarity with AWS services like Lambda and CloudFront.
