Senior IT Project Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our innovative team at REWE Group. This Senior IT Project Manager remote position allows you to lead complex, business-critical IT programs and large projects from end to end. You will work with over 700 employees to develop innovative IT products and services across various domains, ensuring transparency, trust, and collaboration.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end management of complex IT programs and large projects.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams across multiple domains.
• Define goals, plan, implement, and transition projects into regular operations.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and conflicts, ensuring transparent documentation.
• Create decision-ready documents for Steering Committees and leadership bodies.
• Ensure transparency through KPI tracking, budget, and progress reports.
• Align with architecture, security, procurement, and IT/enterprise governance.
• Advance project methodology, governance, and reporting standards.

Requirements

• Completed degree in a technical or economically-technical field (FH/University) with over 5 years of experience in IT project and program management.
• Strong knowledge of agile, hybrid, and traditional methodologies (e.g., PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2, SAFe).
• Solid technical understanding of IT architectures, software development, and integrations.
• Experience managing complex dependencies and budgetary responsibilities.
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, MS Office, MS Project/Planner, and Miro.
• Excellent communication, moderation, and decision-making skills with natural seniority.
• Calm, respectful, and solution-oriented personality with a hands-on mentality and sense of humor.
• Fluency in German and English (minimum C1 level) as required for the role.
