About the Role
We are looking for a Senior IT Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior IT Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and optimizing our server infrastructure in a fully remote environment. What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and optimize the company’s server clusters using OCI and AWS.
- Manage Linux servers, user permissions, SSH keys, and firewalls to maintain a secure environment.
- Oversee Nginx configurations, SSL management, and domain name setups to ensure high availability.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins for efficient deployment processes.
- Establish application monitoring systems with tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure system reliability.
- Manage security protocols, including regular patching and vulnerability scans to protect our infrastructure.
- Maintain databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring optimal performance and disaster recovery strategies.
- Document operational procedures and maintain inventories of assets and configurations.
Requirements
- Expertise in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically OCI and AWS.
- Strong knowledge of Nginx, SSL, and load balancing techniques.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficient in CI/CD pipeline management and deployment strategies.
- Experience with database management and performance tuning.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot production incidents independently.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
