Senior Functional Analyst - Settlement IT (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Functional Analyst - Settlement IT to join our dynamic team at Deutsche Börse Group. This remote position allows you to contribute to the design, stability, and evolution of Clearstream’s CSD settlement services on TARGET2-Securities (T2S). As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our systems that serve over 2,500 clients worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Communicate effectively with business owners, operations teams, and business analysts to gather and shape requirements.
• Conduct thorough requirement analysis and functional design to ensure clarity and understanding across departments.
• Support software engineers in implementing requirements while considering technical limitations.
• Participate in testing and assist in the investigation and resolution of production incidents.
• Maintain a broad understanding of software components in a highly regulated environment.
• Document requirements in a detailed and understandable manner for stakeholders.
• Engage in cross-border settlement flows and realignment processes.
• Contribute to the agile project lifecycle from requirements specification to maintenance.

Requirements

• University degree in Economics, Finance, IT, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in business/functional analysis or testing.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly to non-business audiences.
• Self-motivated and driven for continuous improvement.
• Team player with a collaborative spirit.
• Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of German, French, Luxembourgish, or Czech is a plus.
• Previous experience in the financial sector and knowledge of security settlement processes are advantageous.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud technologies and agile methodologies (SCRUM).
• Familiarity with SWIFT ISO15022 and ISO20022.
• Experience in test automation.
