Senior Full Stack Engineer - Financial Services Focus

About the Role

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer remote for a Direct Hire position with a client located in Pittsburgh, PA. This role offers relocation support for strong candidates. We are ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing scalable systems that meet the needs of our clients.

What You'll Do

• Utilize your strong backend development experience with Java (21+) to build robust applications.
• Leverage your expertise in Spring Boot (3.5 preferred) to create efficient microservices.
• Design and implement cross-region failover and resilient systems using Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud platform.
• Work with Oracle databases and have exposure to Snowflake or Databricks for data management.
• Apply secure coding practices and knowledge of encryption methods to ensure system security.
• Utilize AI tools in development workflows, including prompt engineering for code generation and automated testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and ensure system reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience building scalable distributed systems in regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, preferably Azure.
• Experience with performance optimization and system reliability.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in development workflows.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and system-level security design.
