Senior Full Stack Developer - Remote Position

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team remotely. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience and is focused on enhancing and maintaining applications that play a crucial role in community support and data visualization. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will work within an Agile environment, contributing to the Connecting Communities British Columbia (CCBC) Portal and the Community Information Tool (CIT).

What You'll Do

• Translate software specifications into functional code.
• Document technical work and develop reference materials for future use.
• Support the development and maintenance of systems in collaboration with Business Analysts and clients.
• Provide post-implementation maintenance and support.
• Work within an Agile development environment to deliver iterative enhancements and ongoing support.
• Contribute to application design, development, testing, and operational support.
• Support data integration, reporting, and visualization components.
• Participate in hybrid vendor-government Agile teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Proficiency in Git / GitHub (2+ years).
• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript (2+ years).
• Strong knowledge of React (2+ years).
• Experience with RESTful APIs (2+ years).
• Familiarity with container orchestration (1+ year).
• Knowledge of CSS (1+ year) and Docker (1+ year).
• Experience with end-to-end testing (1+ year) and Python (1+ year).
• Experience with relational databases (1+ year) and unit testing (1+ year).

Nice to Have

• Experience with NodeJS, GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Application Monitoring Tools like Metabase.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, GIS, Jira, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Power BI.
