Senior Full Stack Developer - Remote Contract Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our client's team on a contract basis. This Senior Full Stack Developer remote role is fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within the UK. The initial contract duration is three months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance. The primary focus of this position is to support an existing delivery team by addressing a backlog of well-defined, high-volume tickets and removing blockers to ensure smooth project progress.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the product squad to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality features.
• Address and resolve a backlog of high-volume tickets efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and promote testing strategies to enhance code quality and reliability.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to streamline coding processes and improve productivity.
• Work closely with DevOps and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a full-stack developer at a mid to senior level.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript across the full stack, including React for frontend development and Node.js/Express for backend services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and MongoDB database management.
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture and best practices in software development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
• Ability to write well-tested, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Claude is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
