About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team at DataCamp, where you will play a critical role in enhancing our platform's user interface and experience. This Senior Frontend Platform Engineer remote position is perfect for someone who is passionate about building scalable and efficient frontend solutions using modern technologies.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with designers and product managers to transform Figma prototypes into React/TypeScript components, ensuring ease of implementation for product teams.
• Develop and maintain a scalable internal UI component library that adheres to company design guidelines.
• Own and operate AI agent workflows that accelerate frontend platform delivery, including designing and configuring AI coding agents.
• Optimize design system components for accessibility (WCAG) and conduct annual evaluations.
• Act as a consulting engineer for product teams, helping them architect complex features and debug performance issues.
• Monitor UI component performance and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to improving our frontend architecture, ensuring it remains performant and easy to work with for product teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development, with strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern CSS.
• Proven ability to design and maintain a reusable UI component library.
• Expert knowledge of web standards and accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.x).
• Deep understanding of responsive design principles.
• Experience with modern frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack, Yarn/npm) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and agentic workflows.
• Experience in writing automated tests for UI components.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of microfrontend patterns and architecture.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Understanding of DevOps practices.
• Experience with performance monitoring and observability metrics.
