About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Data Pipeline to join Bloomreach, a leader in AI-driven personalization. This Senior Engineering Manager remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead our Data Pipeline team, which is critical for processing and storing customer interactions across various industries.

What You'll Do

• Lead a high-performing team of 6-7 engineers, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the data pipeline.
• Oversee the architectural improvements to the hot-path tracking pipeline, enhancing throughput and addressing data consistency challenges.
• Guide the team in balancing new feature delivery with operational excellence, ensuring best practices in code reviews and automated testing.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, providing opportunities for professional development.
• Collaborate with product and engineering departments to define strategic priorities and ensure seamless integration across teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager in a backend or data engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and high-throughput data pipelines.
• Experience in leading teams through continuous delivery and testing processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
• Ability to balance feature completeness, technical quality, and delivery speed in project execution.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agile methodologies and incident management processes.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Go, Python, Apache Kafka, MongoDB, and Google Cloud Platform.
