About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to join our team at GitLab, focusing on the META region. This remote position plays a crucial role in driving our growth by structuring services engagements that foster true partnerships with our customers. As a Senior Engagement Manager, you will lead efforts to design, position, and close outcome-oriented professional services engagements that translate complex DevSecOps initiatives into measurable outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with division chiefs, program managers, and technical leaders.
  • Conduct discovery sessions with prospects and Systems Integrators to understand current capabilities and desired business outcomes.
  • Design outcome-oriented services proposals that align GitLab capabilities with customer success metrics.
  • Structure engagements and commercial proposals to ensure clear outcomes while maintaining flexibility for staff augmentation.
  • Develop custom-scoped Statements of Work (SOWs) and staffing plans for complex implementations.
  • Articulate GitLab’s services value proposition and implementation methodologies in the context of customer requirements.
  • Manage project and account-level escalations, ensuring rapid resolution and maintaining customer confidence.
  • Drive measurable outcomes by structuring services that support customer success metrics and accurately forecasting services bookings.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience structuring and selling professional services engagements in the META region.
  • Proven success in a pre-sales context, designing outcome-oriented proposals and developing SOWs.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with executive presence.
  • Highly developed facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and asynchronously in a fully remote setting.
