Senior Embedded Android Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Embedded Android Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will work on the entire low-level layer of embedded systems, including kernel, bootloader, and platform integration. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals looking to make a significant impact in the embedded Android development space.

What You'll Do

• Develop and adapt Linux kernel drivers for various ARM platforms.
• Integrate and customize Board Support Packages (BSPs) on ARM SoCs.
• Port components from the kernel to U-Boot and ensure long-term Android support.
• Upgrade Android environments on MediaTek SoCs and run CTS and VTS tests.
• Update core system components such as U-Boot and ARM Trusted Firmware.
• Perform debugging and system diagnostics using adb, fastboot, and userspace tools.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in embedded Android or low-level development.
• Strong expertise in embedded Android, including AOSP and HAL.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux kernel, bootloader, and hardware bring-up.
• Familiarity with MediaTek, NXP, and Yocto environments is a plus.
• Proven skills in low-level diagnostics and system performance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Yocto Project and multi-SoC environments.
• Knowledge of OTA support and rollback mechanisms.
