Senior Electrical Designer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Designer remote to join our dynamic team at Jobot. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of industrial projects while collaborating with engineers and designers across the Midwest. The ideal candidate will thrive in a remote work environment and bring over 10 years of experience in electrical design.

What You'll Do

• Perform field surveys at existing industrial client sites.
• Support Industrial Engineers by providing technical direction to less experienced designers.
• Develop detailed electrical installation drawings and physical layouts.
• Create equipment arrangement drawings, cable schedules, and cable tray layouts.
• Apply industry standards and NEC requirements to electrical designs.
• Perform quality control reviews of electrical design drawings.
• Manage and schedule work for an electrical design and drafting team.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to ensure design accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in electrical design for industrial clients.
• Strong design and drafting experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable industry standards.
• Proficiency with CAD systems, point cloud software, and Microsoft Office products.
• Associate degree in Engineering or Design (preferred).
