What You'll Do

  • Lead a team to build cutting-edge machine learning models for our personal loan and credit card acquisition strategies, including underwriting, line assignment, and pricing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the entire modeling cycle, from design and development to evaluation and performance tracking.
  • Evaluate third-party solutions to ensure high ROI and effective implementation of machine learning models.
  • Translate complex modeling work into tangible business results through exceptional communication skills.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and teamwork, challenging the status quo to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in credit card modeling or consumer lending.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in data science or related fields.
  • M.S. or PhD in statistics, computer science, engineering, physical sciences, economics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong background in machine learning with a proven ability to apply these skills to solve business problems.
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud data environments and technologies such as Python, Spark, SQL, and Tableau.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines in the lending business.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in plain English to diverse stakeholders.
