Senior Data Scientist - Private Equity Focus

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist remote to join our fast-growing, London-based investment-focused AI firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on interesting data problems that drive commercial value, particularly in the private equity sector. As a Senior Data Scientist remote, you will be integral in taking models from prototype to production in messy, real-world environments, collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end ML delivery from problem definition through deployment.
• Build and productionize models across various use cases including forecasting, pricing, churn, segmentation, fraud detection, and natural language processing (NLP).
• Work closely with data engineers and cloud infrastructure to scale solutions effectively.
• Translate technical work into clear commercial impact for senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to code quality, deployment standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist remote or similar role, with a strong focus on machine learning.
• Experience in deploying models in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong understanding of data science methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Databricks and Docker.
• Familiarity with financial data and private equity.
• Knowledge of data engineering principles.
