Senior Data Scientist - Marketing Focus for AI-Powered Platform

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist - Marketing to join our innovative team at Descript, a leader in AI-powered content creation. This Senior Data Scientist remote position will focus on optimizing marketing performance and enabling data-driven business decisions. You will work closely with our Growth team to leverage data analytics in enhancing our marketing strategies.

What You'll Do

• Develop channel-specific Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) targets to optimize marketing spend.
• Iterate and improve attribution models to better understand marketing effectiveness.
• Drive incrementality measurement to assess the impact of marketing initiatives.
• Design and build AI-powered marketing tools that enhance our capabilities.
• Create and refine marketing dashboards that provide actionable insights.
• Lead modeling and forecasting initiatives to predict marketing performance.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Identify trends and opportunities through data analysis to inform marketing strategies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a data science role, particularly in marketing.
• Proficient in SQL and programming languages relevant to data analysis.
• Strong understanding of ads platforms and incrementality testing.
• Experience with attribution models and proven success in product and sales-led growth.
• Familiarity with AI tools for marketing and understanding of LLMs.
• Knowledge of AI-powered prediction models.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
