Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake Remote Role for Media Projects

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake Remote) to join our innovative team at Zartis. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building greenfield data products for a major US media company. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to impactful projects that leverage cutting-edge technology.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement data models and pipelines on Snowflake using Snowpark and SQL.
• Build data-facing application layers using Streamlit or similar frameworks.
• Develop and iterate on greenfield product features across the AI Solutions Pod and Rights360 platforms.
• Utilize Snowflake Cortex AI/ML services to support forecasting, profitability modeling, and agentic features.
• Contribute to real-time inventory and rights conflict detection capabilities (Rights360).
• Collaborate closely with the shared tech lead across multiple projects.
• Maintain a production-ready mindset, prioritizing reliability and maintainability.
• Work across the full stack as needed, from data pipelines to user-facing dashboards.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Proficient in SQL and experienced in working with relational data.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar platforms like BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
• Experience in data modeling and building scalable data pipelines.
• Experience in building data-facing applications using frameworks such as Streamlit, Dash, Flask, or similar.
• Comfortable working across the stack, from data engineering to user-facing applications.
• Practical, production-focused mindset with an emphasis on clean, maintainable, and reliable code.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, greenfield environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Snowflake-native tools: Cortex, Streamlit in Snowflake, Snowpark.
• Interest or hands-on experience with GenAI patterns: RAG, LLMs, embeddings, or agentic workflows.
• Background in media, content, or rights management data domains.
• Experience with real-time or near-real-time data architectures.
