About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Adaca. This remote position allows you to lead the design and delivery of scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms across multiple concurrent projects, supporting analytics outcomes across Parts, Services, and ERP domains for a leading Australian automotive data company.

What You'll Do

  • Architect, build, and optimize complex data pipelines using Python and Databricks.
  • Define and enforce data modeling standards, pipeline design patterns, and best practices.
  • Lead the design of scalable, maintainable data platform solutions.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of data products across Parts, Services, and ERP analytics workstreams.
  • Ensure high data quality, integrity, and performance across all layers of the data platform.
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Manage and optimize data workflows within AWS cloud environments.
  • Contribute to or review front-end data application layers built in React where applicable.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response for data pipelines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven track record delivering data pipelines and analytics platforms in production at scale.
  • Experience working across multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills, including experience working with international clients.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and Redshift.
  • Familiarity with front-end data application development or visualization layers using React.
