Senior Data Analyst - Remote Opportunity at GitLab

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst remote to join GitLab's Enterprise Analytics team. In this role, you will support some of GitLab's most visible go-to-market and executive reporting initiatives. As a Senior Data Analyst remote, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Finance, and analytics partners to deliver company-level reports and performance views that leaders rely on to drive business decisions.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain executive-facing scorecards and go-to-market performance views that connect pipeline, bookings, and product usage signals into targets-versus-actuals tracking.
• Design performant, reusable Tableau Cloud data sources and help shape the underlying dbt models to ensure stable and governed reporting layers.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering to enhance dbt models that support reliable reporting for business stakeholders.
• Document metric logic, data lineage, and Tableau usage patterns in our handbook to facilitate stakeholder understanding of data products.
• Implement and monitor data quality checks across Snowflake, Salesforce, and other systems to strengthen trust in company-level reporting.
• Partner with Revenue Operations and Finance to define questions, align on metric definitions, and deliver insightful dashboards.
• Present insights clearly for both operational and executive audiences, enabling teams to make informed decisions quickly.
• Share best practices in SQL, data visualization, and go-to-market analytics, including code reviews and support on high-priority dashboards.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to frame ambiguous business questions and translate findings into clear recommendations.
• Advanced SQL skills, particularly in Snowflake, with experience in building reusable queries and views.
• Proven experience in creating executive-facing dashboards in Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Deep understanding of go-to-market concepts such as new-customer metrics, pipeline, and marketing funnel metrics.
• Strong command of GenAI tools to enhance work efficiency and quality.
• Ability to communicate complex analyses clearly through presentations and data visualizations.
• Comfort working in an all-remote, asynchronous environment with a high level of ownership.
• Alignment with GitLab's values and openness to applying transferable skills from related analytics roles.
