About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Advisor to join our team in a remote capacity. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the mission of the US Cyber Command, providing expert advice on cybersecurity strategies and compliance. As a Senior Cybersecurity Advisor remote, you will be responsible for overseeing network security and ensuring the protection of sensitive information across various environments.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary technical and cybersecurity advisor, providing vulnerability and mitigation compliance tracking information.
  • Plan, integrate, and oversee network security, vulnerability management, and compliance tracking for all systems.
  • Manage the Risk Management Framework (RMF) by developing and enforcing security policies.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, position papers, and briefings related to the Command's cybersecurity posture.
  • Advise and instruct the Cybersecurity Workforce, ensuring all personnel have necessary training and certifications.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a favorable suitability review and security clearance.
  • Experience in security assessments or audits on computer networks and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • At least one year of experience at the GG-13 level or equivalent.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud security solutions.
  • Certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations and compliance.
