Senior Cost Value Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cost Value Engineer to join our team at Anduril Industries. This Senior Cost Value Engineer remote position plays a crucial role in transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. You will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of our product hardware across their lifecycles, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

• Deep dive into your engineering Bill of Material (BOM), ensuring parts can be sourced and procured at reasonable target levels.
• Conduct supplier selection for specific products, leveraging our approved supplier list and onboarding unique vendors.
• Drive on-time delivery utilizing innovative solutions to overcome traditional Space industry lead-times and supply constraints.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-off tables, and joint design development.
• Manage total cost of the program, including New Product Introduction (NPI) and mass production.
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Lead all cost engineering activities to maximize the total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle.
• Manage ad-hoc cost issues, including tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, and development.
• Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance.
• Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time based on program needs.
• Willingness to relocate to Reston, VA if not already local.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or advanced technical degree.
• Experience in design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Direct experience in the Space industry.
