Senior Cloud Network Engineer - Automation Expert
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructure with a focus on automation. This Senior Cloud Network Engineer remote position offers the freedom to work from anywhere in the United States, whether from the comfort of your home, or a coworking space. What You'll Do
- Design and implement cloud network infrastructure including VPC, VPN, and Cloud Interconnect.
- Manage DNS records across cloud-native solutions and integrate with BlueCat Centralized DNS and DHCP management.
- Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Automate network tasks using scripting languages and tools to improve efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cloud networking and DNS management.
- Manage network security principles and practices to protect cloud environments.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking services including VPC, VPN, Cloud Interconnect, and Cloud DNS with 3+ years experience.
- Experience with Cloud and BlueCat servers and DNS management.
- Proficiency in network security principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
- Deep knowledge of IP addressing, CIDR notation, and subnetting.
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages such as Python and Terraform.
- Working experience with Jenkins Pipeline.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools like ELK and SolarWinds.
Nice to Have
- Professional Cloud Network Engineer certifications (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
