Senior Care Assistant - Support Veterans at Erskine

What You'll Do

• Support Care Assistants in delivering exceptional care to residents with diverse needs, including dementia.
• Assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, dressing, and meal assistance.
• Promote residents' independence and personal choice by encouraging participation in activities.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Administer medications under supervision and adhere to care plans.

Requirements

• SVQ III in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Experience in a similar role with a focus on elderly care.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Registration at Supervisor level with the SSSC is required.

Nice to Have

• Experience in administering medications.
• Knowledge of care planning and documentation.
• Previous experience in a care home setting.
