Senior C/​Unix Developer - Technical Leadership Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior C/Unix Developer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in C and Unix to design, develop, and implement complex applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced developers while working on innovative projects that impact our clients.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, install, test, and document complex applications software, including server, client, and web components.
• Provide technical consulting on complex projects and contribute to the design and delivery of technical architecture solutions.
• Analyze, design, and review applications to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Assist in overseeing relationships between application architects and development teams to ensure coordinated product development.
• Develop and provide technical documentation, participate in test-plan development, integration, and deployment.
• Guide and mentor less experienced developers, ensuring adherence to specifications and best practices.
• Participate in cost analysis studies to determine feasibility of approaches.
• Utilize your experience in development methodologies to define and develop project requirements and functional specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Six or more years of experience in product design and support.
• Proficiency in C, Oracle, SQL, and TFS within a Unix/Linux environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with developers, customers, and management.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in mentoring and training less experienced developers.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in healthcare systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with additional programming languages.
