Senior Business Analyst - UK Payments (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Remote) to join our team at Form3, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering payment products. This position allows you to work closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams, ensuring that product intent translates into precise, buildable outcomes. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be a domain expert across mission-critical payment product lines, translating complex customer, regulatory, and internal requirements into high-quality, engineering-ready specifications.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and external stakeholders to drive end-to-end delivery of payment solutions.
• Produce high-quality, unambiguous requirements such as user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Translate product vision into actionable requirements, collaborating with teams across Europe, the US, and Platform teams as needed.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the full UK product suite, providing guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Analyze the impact of product changes across customer, operational, and regulatory dimensions.
• Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end payments architecture, including scheme interactions and processing flows.
• Identify, assess, and manage functional and non-functional risks to ensure solutions meet high standards of resilience and compliance.
• Ensure all requirements and solutions align with scheme rules, regulatory obligations, and industry standards.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in payments or financial services.
• Deep knowledge of UK payment schemes and end-to-end payments processing (FPS & Bacs).
• Strong understanding of regulatory and scheme requirements (e.g., Pay.UK scheme rules).
• Experience working on high-availability, mission-critical systems.
• Proven ability to identify risks, dependencies, and edge cases.

Nice to Have

• API-first or cloud-native product experience.
• Experience working with tier 1 banks or payment processors.
• Familiarity with UK payment services outside of FPS & BACS, such as CHAPS.
