About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Building Technology Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing technical systems with a focus on refrigeration technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a significant impact on our operations.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and optimize technical systems, particularly in refrigeration technology, including broadcast-relevant systems.
  • Define, plan, and implement requirements from core business operations for building technology installations, especially hydraulic components.
  • Lead projects within your area of responsibility, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies for your area, optimizing both in-house and outsourced services with a focus on operational management, resource utilization, energy reduction, maintenance, inspection, and repair.
  • Oversee and control technical service providers concerning contracted operator services, maintenance, and troubleshooting in refrigeration technology.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and technical regulations, operating instructions, workplace safety, accident prevention, and environmental protection.

Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Engineering, completed training as a systems mechanic for HVAC, refrigeration technician, or a comparable qualification.
  • Desirable: further training or professional experience in facility management.
  • Extensive professional experience in managing technical systems, preferably in the media technology sector.
  • Strong knowledge in hydraulics and building management systems (BMS).
  • Ability to navigate complex situations with a generalist understanding and proven success in leading interdisciplinary teams on technical and organizational projects.
  • Proficient in various IT tools, ideally with knowledge of CAFM systems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in energy management and sustainability practices.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in building technology.
