Senior Azure DevOps Engineer - Remote Position
About the Role
Blue Chip Talent is seeking a skilled Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing Azure cloud infrastructure, building scalable CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring secure, high-performing environments across the development lifecycle. This position is ideal for candidates who are experts in Azure and hold a USC or Green Card.
What You'll Do
- Design, manage, and optimize Azure environments across production, staging, testing, and development.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, YAML, and automation tools.
- Architect and support cloud-native applications using containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Configure and manage Azure resources including virtual networks, virtual machines, and database services.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and automation strategies for deployment and provisioning.
- Monitor system performance, alerts, and logs to ensure reliability and uptime.
- Migrate on-premise workloads to Azure cloud environments with secure connectivity.
- Enforce security best practices including IAM, access controls, and compliance alignment.
Requirements
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure services including VMs, Web Apps, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, and Azure SQL.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps and Git-based CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or similar.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience managing Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Key Vaults, and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security practices including IAM and resource access management.
- Experience supporting the full software development lifecycle using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud migration from on-premise environments (VMware, Hyper-V) to Azure.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC2, ISO, or HIPAA.
- Experience implementing blue-green or similar deployment strategies.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration in cloud environments.
- Experience with SQL Server and cloud database migration strategies.
- Exposure to cost optimization and performance tuning within Azure environments.
