Senior Applications & Technology Architect - Banking

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Applications & Technology Architect to join the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Bulgaria. This position is not remote and requires regular office presence at our Luxembourg headquarters. As a Senior Applications & Technology Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing high-level application architectures that empower businesses to thrive. Your expertise will help shape the future of our technology landscape.

What You'll Do

• Lead the application and technology architecture practice, setting trends and establishing cutting-edge principles, standards, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with elite Solution Architects and Delivery teams to design innovative solutions that meet business needs.
• Document architectural designs and maintain a comprehensive knowledge repository to guide architectural development.
• Transform business needs into technological solutions, ensuring alignment between application architecture practices and market standards.
• Enhance our application and technology landscape by identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as an Enterprise/Technology/Application Architect.
• In-depth knowledge of application architecture principles, design patterns, and integration techniques.
• Expertise in multiple technology stacks and languages commonly used in application development.
• Excellent command of English and/or French, with proficiency in other EU languages being a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in designing solutions in a Cloud environment.
• Knowledge of data architecture, including database design and data modeling.
• Familiarity with business process optimization and digital transformation strategies.
