Senior Application Engineer - Emergency Services Solutions

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join our team at NEC Australia. In this Senior Application Engineer remote position, you will deliver NEC solutions into live operational service for our suite of emergency service products across our entire customer portfolio. You will build, commission, and upgrade critical communications platforms and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, while providing coaching and technical support to our clients.

What You'll Do

  • Build, commission, and upgrade NEC Control Room systems for emergency services customers.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Support projects from start to finish, managing tasks in Azure DevOps.
  • Maintain high standards by following and improving engineering documentation.
  • Share your knowledge by coaching colleagues and providing technical support.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call team to deliver exceptional customer service (travel required).

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in similar roles.
  • Experience in operating IT systems for the Emergency Services sector.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience within project frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of emergency service protocols.
  • Certifications related to ITIL or project management.
