Mid-Level Software Engineer - Computer Vision Features

About the Role

We're hiring a Mid-Level Software Engineer specializing in Computer Vision features to join our innovative team at Protex AI. In this remote role, you'll be at the forefront of AI-driven computer vision technology, working to build a safer, smarter industrial workplace.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Computer Vision Engineers and the User Applications team to integrate Computer Vision features into our core web application.
• Develop and deploy solutions within complex distributed systems, ensuring high-quality product delivery.
• Work closely with Product and Client Success teams to transition features from development to full production.
• Utilize your strong Python proficiency to contribute to our software development practices.
• Engage with cloud technologies, including serverless architectures and microservices, to enhance system performance.
• Build and nurture RESTful and GraphQL APIs using JavaScript backend frameworks like Node.js, Express, or NestJS.
• Explore various technologies and contribute across domains, including generative AI and Frontend Infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality products at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with cloud technologies.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and container applications using Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of JavaScript backend frameworks and effective API development.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and continuously grow.

Nice to Have

• Some proficiency in C++.
• Experience in data analysis and/or data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake).
