Senior API Developer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior API Developer to join our innovative team at Vivid Resourcing. This remote position focuses on developing our API, which is the core of our mobile-first Employee Experience Platform. With over 600 customers and 400,000 users, you will play a crucial role in redefining how organizations communicate.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain our API, ensuring high performance and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new features and enhance existing functionalities.
• Participate in architectural discussions, contributing to technology choices and design decisions.
• Implement best practices for coding and testing, ensuring clean and maintainable code.
• Utilize your expertise in PHP, TypeScript, and modern frameworks to drive development efforts.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of PHP 8, TypeScript, Docker, CI/CD, and Git.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and performance monitoring tools like DataDog.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Linux environments is essential.
• Passion for automation and optimizing workflows through automated testing.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Symfony 6+, Elasticsearch, Java (8/9), Redis, Lua, NGINX, or OAuth 2.
