Senior Android Platform Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Android Platform Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This Senior Android Platform Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading consultancy in France, contributing to embedded Linux projects for a US-based customer. You will play a crucial role in the Android platform stack, focusing on Android bring-up, BSP development, and system integration.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end Android bring-up on embedded hardware platforms.
- Customize and debug the Android build system.
- Develop Board Support Packages (BSP), kernel, and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).
- Troubleshoot complex issues across bootloader, kernel, HAL, and Android services.
- Engage in SELinux policy development and Android security work (excluding TEE).
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Embedded Linux and low-level Android platforms.
- Proven track record in end-to-end Android bring-up.
- Ability to work across the entire stack: Bootloader, Kernel, HAL, and Android services.
- Experience troubleshooting at all levels of the stack.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with remote teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SE Linux and Android security (excluding TEE).
- Familiarity with Qualcomm SoC.
