About the Role

We're hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our innovative team at Haystack. This fully remote position offers a competitive salary of up to £100,000, depending on experience. As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our AI products, focusing on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end LLM-powered systems that drive real-world applications.
• Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, prompt strategies, and workflows to enhance AI performance.
• Utilize GCP services, particularly Vertex AI, to create scalable and efficient machine learning solutions.
• Write clean, production-grade Python code that adheres to best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively communicate complex technical ideas and solutions.
• Take ownership of projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) is essential for this Senior AI/ML Engineer role.
• Solid Python engineering background with a focus on developing scalable solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI.
• Proven track record of building and deploying real-world ML/Generative AI systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive autonomously in a remote environment.

• Experience with behavioral science applications in AI.
